FAQs
Pivot Door Installation FAQs
Straight answers to the questions Kempton Park and Johannesburg customers ask us most.
How much does it cost to install a pivot door?
Onewayglass charges from R3,500 to install a pivot door you supply, from R4,500 to replace pivot hardware and re-hang a door, and from R15,000 for a new aluminium pivot door supplied and fitted.
Can you install a pivot door I bought elsewhere?
Yes. Send us the door size, weight and photos of the opening. We check that the pivot set suits the door and floor, then fit and adjust it.
Why is my pivot door sagging or scraping?
Pivot doors drop when the bottom pivot or floor spring wears, or when it was not fixed into solid floor. We replace the hardware, re-set the door and adjust the clearances.
Can a pivot door replace a normal front door?
Yes. Pivot doors are usually wider than hinged doors, so the opening is often widened. We handle the removal, alteration and installation.

Onewayglass is based at 7 Defiant St, Rhodesfield, Kempton Park, 1619 and works throughout Kempton Park – including Rhodesfield, Glen Marais, Birchleigh, Norkem Park, Aston Manor, Bonaero Park and Pomona – as well as greater Johannesburg and the East Rand. Call 083 483 7222 to confirm your suburb.
